About Will Dunlap
Now working with the ledgendary singer Timothy Curry in a project soon to be produced by Dave Sanger of Asleep at the Wheel."I'm really looking forward to working in the studio with Dave! This project is set to put Timothy in the public eye on a national platform.We're also talking with some very well connected folks about the best venues and halls to support the up coming cd!
Bio:Will's grandmother was a Julliard school of music soprano in the 1020's who worked with the great Irving Berlin in a show called "The red laquer cage"
Will's father was a folk guitarist and singer who shaped Will's love of acoustic guitar music.
In 1980 Will moved from Denver to Austin and got his first shot at the big time when singer Vicky Southern took several of Will's songs into Austin Recording studio and Reel Sound mobil studio to record with some of Austin's best including : Eric Johnson, Mitch Watkins, Dave Seabree and Herman Rarebell from the Scorpions! It was during this period that he first met his early Austin band :Mark Dorsey r.i.p. Scott Gilmoore,Carl Childs, Sam McBurnett and J.D. Higginbotham.Will, Carl and the boys had two bands "Child's Play"and the"Rockaholic's" that played all the old Austin haunts in the 1980's. Percussionist Jorge de Armas joined the band in 1995 and Viola player Dr. Robert Radmer added his talents in 2001. In 2008, Mike Croes"Tanto" joined in on vocals and Harmonica. The rest is History! On January 9th we recorded an unreleased session at Arlyn studio that's still in the mixing process.From the Old Steamboat on 6th, Emma Joe's, Austin Out House, Joe's Generic, Black Cat Lounge and Chicago House in the 1980's; to Liberty Lunch, Flamingo Cantina, Auditorium Shores, Top of the Mark and The Austin Music Hall in the 90's; and now, the Paramount Theater, MoMo's, Carlos n Charlies, Saxon Pub, Maria's Taco xpress, Threadgills, Doc's Backyard and a seven year house gig at the Waterloo Ice House and the list goes on...
